Thanks for the excellent interview! I especially liked the MM inclusions, which added a lot of dimension and insight to this well crafted work. Insurgentes is such an amazing album, and I appreciate your taking so much effort to shine a clear light on it.

i m a big follower of wilsons work everit yng that envolves him ,that means other proyects .... and course pocupinrtree precious band i like the art work that always uses on his covers simpli a genius .on this generation full of crapy that industry call music. go on master doing good and precious music for us and for mr hoile simply the best

Wonderfulin depth inyerview. The video clips are a niv=ce addition. Wiilson gives me hope that great music will continue, perhaps on a smaller scale, but it will survive. I hope great album art will as well.

Very interesting ! Brings a new light to the record I've been listening to for a few weeks now. Helps me understand more how it was thought and made. The video and audio clips add a lot. Great interview !

To really understand the genius of Steven Wilson, listen to the last few records he's delivered. In addition to Insurgentes, listen to Fear of a blank planet (Porcupine Tree), the Blackfield records (I and II) and Schoolyard Ghosts (No-man). On top of the fantastic writing and performing, the pure musicianship shines through. However as both a hi-def fan, and an iPod fan, the best part of these records is the DVD-A versions (not available on the Blackfield records yet - Steven, note!). Played on a good surround sound system, these make me shiver. The placement of Tim Bowness' vocals on the No-man record is pure genius.
I can't wait for Steven's remixes of the King Crimson records. Come on Steven, keep the hi-def flag flying high.

steve wilson is the david gilmour of his time. how this band is not playing in front of 20,000 people is astonishing. maybe it's the rap, hip-hop or alternative drivil of today. go out and buy In Abstensia and Deadwing, incredible rock at it's finest.

Excellent write-up. Steven Wilson deserves to make your cover. He has inspired me for years now and has re-kindled in me the reasons I fell in love with music (and especially "progressive" music).... the art of it. He has found a sort of freedom in his projects few musicians dare to explore, ....due to their fear of failure?.... lack of confidence? ..... Steven has it all in spades. I suggest you go and discover his disc-o-graphy, it will blow your mind.

I'm very happy to see Steven Wilson getting the coverage and recognition that his talent and passion deserves. Not since David Gilmour has another musician inspired me so much. I wonder how long it will be before guitar magazines such as Guitar World and Guitar Player do a cover feature on him? In my opinion, it's long overdue.

Mr. Wilson is a rare bird in today's international music community! His genius in composition and recording is inspiring.
